I'm David Wilbourn, an AI-augmented delivery specialist. I build working, tested software by orchestrating AI, primarily Claude, against tight specifications, with critical review and a bias for evidence over guesswork.

I am not a software engineer in the traditional sense. I turn a clear brief into a shipped, tested outcome by directing the machine and checking its work, closely. The proof is a public portfolio of tools rather than a list of languages.

My background is information security. Over the last seven years I have led governance, risk and compliance in regulated, multinational organisations, owning ISO 27001/2 frameworks, maturing risk against NIST CSF, and building an AI governance framework with ISO 42001 alignment. That discipline is the seasoning, not the headline: it is why I care about adopting AI safely, and why the things I build arrive with tests, evidence and a paper trail.

Net Positive is where I show the work. The name is the test: whatever the topic, does it add up to something? Everything here is meant to leave the reader, the field, or the problem a little better than it was. Underneath it is the centaur principle, that a person and a machine working together beat either alone, and a fondness for the creative, legitimate, non-obvious ways to use these tools well.
